Chapter One: Introduction

1.1 Background of the Study
Event budget management is a critical component of event planning, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently to achieve the desired outcomes. Effective budgeting involves forecasting expenses, allocating funds, and monitoring expenditures to avoid overspending. In Gusau Local Government Area, Zamfara State, the success of events such as cultural festivals, community gatherings, and conferences often hinges on proper budget management. However, many event organizers face challenges such as insufficient funds, unexpected costs, and poor financial planning, which can compromise the quality of events.
